Privacy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
This is a personal blog, built to collect as little about you as possible. There are no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. This page explains what that means in practice and what limited data is unavoidably processed when you visit.
What this site does not do
- It sets no cookies.
- It runs no analytics and uses no tracking or advertising scripts.
- It loads no third-party resources. Fonts are served from this site directly, so your browser makes no requests to external providers just to render a page.
- It has no comments, forms, or newsletter, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to submit.
Stored in your browser
If you switch between light and dark themes, your choice is saved locally in your browser using localStorage. This is a functional preference only. It never leaves your device, is not a cookie, and is not sent to me or anyone else.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. As the platform that serves and protects the site, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data, which can include your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser's user-agent string. It uses this to deliver the site and defend it against attacks, a legitimate interest common to essentially every website. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to external services such as GitHub, LinkedIn, and company websites, and an RSS feed is available. When you follow a link to another service, that service handles your data under its own privacy policy, not this one.
Who is responsible
This site is operated by Ed Borner as a personal blog. It collects no information that identifies you, so there is normally nothing personal to you that I could access, correct, or delete on request.
You keep your rights under UK data protection law, and if you have any question about this notice or how the site handles data, you can contact me via LinkedIn.
Changes
If this notice changes, the revised version will appear here with an updated date at the top.
